Rare Moldavite specimen

Moldavite is a type of tektite, which is gemstone like material created by a meteorite impact on earth approximately 15 million years ago in southern Germany. The force of the meteorite impact instantly melted surrounding soil and rock, creating molten glass. This molten glass was flung into the air where it cooled as it fall to the ground and scattered over hundreds of kilometres.
