Peanut Wood started as a fallen tree that drifted through an ancient Australian inland sea where marine shipworms bored into it before it became buried and fossilised Over millions of years, the burrows filled with silica, creating the distinctive oval "peanut" pattern seen today. A unique and highly collectible Australian fossil.
